VanCam
The esp VANCAM is a vandal-resistant surveillance camera, designed to be fitted to the inside of remote locations such as vehicles, sheds & cabins.
The design I created is a two-part steel casing that nests together to protect an IR, motion-sensitive, battery-operated HD camera.
One aspect that I was quite pleased with in the design is that the casing uses two completely symmetrical pieces so that only one piece had to be tooled and fabricated.
This was made possible due to the symmetry of the camera which is something that struck me early-on in the design process and a feature I was keen to capitalise on.
